Navratri Celebration
On 3rd of October we had Navratri Celebration for the Children. 102 students were present. The Navratri Celebration embellished the entire vibes with vibrant colours and immense joy on children. The Students from Std. 1 to Std. 10 took part in the Garba Competition. They were all dressed in traditional costume which added colours in the air. Lots of fun, enthusiasm and enjoyment were seen among the students. Prizes for the best style and best traditional dress were given to deserving students. Lastly snacks and cold drinks were served which was sponsored by the members of APX and they were the Guest of honor on that day.
Diwali Celebration
Diwali symbolizes the spiritual victory of lights over darkness, good over evil and knowledge over ignorance. Children celebratedDiwali on 15th of October with the preparation of Greeting Cards to strengthen and rejuvenate the bonds of love, shared between people. At the same time handmade Diwali Cards helped the kids to understand the tradition of celebrating Diwali and understand its importance. 108 students took part and showed their talents and skills. Deserving students were given prizes and gifts. The highlight of the day was Angel’s birthday celebration which included with refreshments.
On 21st we celebrated Diwali with great pomp show, zeal and enthusiasm which included Rangoli competition, cultural program and nukkadnatak which convey the message of Green Diwali, Clean Diwali and Safe Diwali.
The main attraction of the celebration was significance and religious history of the five days of Diwali festival delivered by the students of std. 9th and 10th.
Manager of the Loyola School Fr. Francis, Fr. Isaac, M. Donald, Srimati Nutanben Vij and the members of the Lion’s Club were present to make the children happy. Message oriented speech and vote of thanks on the auspicious festival of Diwali was delivered by Fr. Francis, Fr. Isaac, Srimati Nutanben and Srimati Swetalben. They also brought gifts for the children. A simple and healthy dinner was sponsored by Shrimati Nutanben Vij.
National Unity Day
National Unity Day was celebrated in India on 31st October. It was introduced by the Govt. of India in 2014. It is celebrated to mark the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel who had the major role in the political integration of India. A special program was organized and conducted to throw light and inform the students about the illustrious life of the Iron man of the India. Students from Std. 1 to 10 took part in the rally at St. Xavier’s Loyola school, which was organized to mark the importance of the day.
